We frequently assess our operation to see if we are both meeting our news mission in service to Monadnock Region residents and ensuring our own sustainability. With well-publicized pressures facing newspapers these days, we find ourselves particularly focused on what we need to do to continue serving the region’s news and information needs.
Recently, we decided that to be effective as a business and to properly and thoroughly cover local news, we must change in some meaningful ways. We know that as many or more people than ever are reading our news and information. But we cannot ignore that more and more people want their news via digital sources (including ours), that advertisers are more and more aware they must expand to use digital media to advance their products or services (including ours), and that we must hasten our embrace of these changes.
