These instructions are designed to guide prospective mentors and mentees through the application process and ensure matches create successful, long-term professional relationships.
There is a fair amount of “paperwork” to complete, but the questionnaires are meant to prompt mentors and mentees to carefully evaluate their requirements and expectations in advance. Mentorships built on a sound foundation of understanding have the best outcomes.
We have received significant feedback from educators and professionals in the development of this program. However, this is still our first attempt at creating an effort like this in New Hampshire. If there are any questions about these instructions, please contact New Hampshire Press Association Executive Director Phil Kincade pwkincade@mail.com
This program is a joint initiative of the New Hampshire Press Association, the Nackey Loeb School of Communications, the Granite State News Collaborative and the Marlin Fitzwater Center at Franklin Pierce University. It is a direct result of the journalism/education summit meeting conducted in August by these organizations.
